“It is absurd for the Evolutionist to complain that it is unthinkable for an admittedly unthinkable God to make everything out of nothing, and then pretend that it is more thinkable that nothing should turn itself into anything.” — Saint Thomas Aquinas, Garden City, NY: Doubleday Image, 1933, 174 – G. K. Chesterton
New notes get added to my desktop and laptop computers on almost a daily basis; I’d like to keep em all in one place, and I’d like to find out how to do that; Thanks for any and all suggestions

In looking at the export to XHTML functionality, I notice some confusing behavior that may actually be caused by the browser. When I drag a PDF file inside the note window (to embed it into a note), the exported XHTML file doesn’t show the PDF image in either Safari of Firefox. The XHTML file (“index.html”) has a line that looks like:

and the corresponding PDF file is included in the same directory as “index.html”. If I modify the above line to use the alternate file location

I have again managed to develop a corrupted file… this time, attempting to open the file immediately crashes Notae. Any ideas or suggestions? I’m concerned about losing work if this is a repetitive behavior.
Not sure this is at all useful, but as I type in a new document with the Console open, I now see quite a few exceptions like:
2007-05-18 10:41:37.632 Notae Exception raised during posting of notification. Ignored. exception: *** -[NSBigMutableString substringWithRange:]: Range or index out of bounds
I’m not sure if these behaviors are common to others or just to me.

Where are Notae documents stored? Can’t find anything in the Finder.

I tried to paste a URL directly into a note using the Quicksilver service, but nothing happened.
Is this app still a going concern? I was attracted by the ability to tag notes, but things seem a little buggy in some parts and no one’s posted to the forums in months.

Hi Adam
I’m having a problem with the unregistered version – about half of my notes simply won’t save. I have noticed that if I save the note early (i.e. after entering a name) it is usually ok, but if I add tags and enter text, it simply stops saving. I have tried creating a new note in the hope that I can save that along with any other changes since the previous save, but that’s not working either.
Am running 10.4.8 in a G4 PPC powerbook. Please let me know if you need any more info to look into the issue – cheers, Narly

Is there a hotkey for saving in Quick Note (same as pushing Save and Clear, but quicker and only keyboard)?
Also, why the heck do I have to write these extra words in order to get this posted? Sometimes a legitimate post (such as this one) has less than twenty-five words.

Does Notae support them? When I paste in an URL, it just remains as regular text. I can’t figure out how to make it clickable. (Would be nice if it were automatic.)
I realize Notae can fetch web pages, but I don’t necessarily want to store an entire page; I just want a clickable link!
Thanks.

When dragging a photo out of Notae (to the Desktop, for instance), the icon for the photo is displayed about 2 inches below the cursor, instead of directly beneath the cursor. This is a bug.
Also, upon dragging a photo into Notae, it would be nice to have the option to display the photo at fill size. I just dragged a fairly small photo into Notae, and Notae insisted upon reducing it. I can see the value of this feature for large photos, but this was not a large photo. I’d like the option to disable the reduction on a case-by-case basis.
Thanks.
