Compact Disc – Originally designed for music, the compact disc then became the primary method of storing computer data outside of the hard drive. Some time later, the music industries started to resent people buying their CDs and actually wanting to listen to them, so they made them unplayable in many CD players. Now the CD is the primary distribution medium for software demos and AOL tryouts.
